Meet Dr. Rachel Newland (Golden, CO)

Rachel Newland, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Dr. Newland also completed a year-long residency in ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Newland earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas.

A third-generation optometrist, Dr. Newland grew up working at her father and grandfather’s optometric practice, sparking her interest in healthcare from a young age. During optometry school, she participated in vision outreach services both locally and in the Dominican Republic.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Newland enjoys, spending time with friends and family and exploring Colorado.
